Earlier this month, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Djurgårdens IF for Lucas Bergvall to arrive at the club after this season.
Two days ago, Djurgårdens sporting director Bosse Andersson revealed that both Spurs and his side have a common ambition to play a friendly tie in the future, as part of the Bergvall deal.
Fotboll Sthlm had a chat with the Swedish club’s official and he’s revealed that talks are planned with Tottenham for a new partnership.
Andersson’s comments are relayed by Fotbollskanalen, who state Djurgårdens are set to hold fresh talks with Spurs in March.
“There are lots of things that we have discussed and that is what we want to meet. They are intrigued to meet us, then we will get back to them about it,” he said.
“We’re going to meet in London, we’re invited, and we’re going to discuss a partnership. Then we’ll see what kind of exchange we can have.”
As a part of the collaboration, the report states Tottenham could even send some of their players out on loan to Djurgårdens.
On this topics, Andersson explained: “That could be one of the possibilities. A partnership can mean a lot.”
The north London club seem to be focusing more on Sweden after agreeing a deal for Bergvall.
At the start of this week, Fotboll Direkt stated Ange Postecoglou’s side are showing keen interest in Hammarby’s Viktor Đukanović. It was also reported Tottenham director Johan Lange has been following the 20-year-old for a while.
