Hoffenheim’s Niklas Sule rejected an approach from Liverpool in the summer, reports Sport Bild.
The 21-year-old was part of the Germany team that lost to Brazil in the finals of Olympics in Rio, and also recently made his debut for the German national team against Finland.
Sule believes staying at Hoffenheim is the best way to further develop himself, and isn’t really keen on switching clubs at the moment.
He said: “I need familiar surroundings and need to constantly play at my level to develop even further.”
Sport Bild reveal Sule also rejected offers from Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, AS Roma, Naploli, and AC Milan.
Sule was also linked to Liverpool after Klopp’s appointment, and we won’t be surprised if there’s a continued interest in the player.
Liverpool signed a couple of defenders from the Bundesliga during the summer transfer window, and Klopp could return to the German transfer market in the future.
