Even though the Premier League clubs are not allowed to sign new players, clubs from other leagues, where the transfer window is still open, can sign players from English clubs.
Thus, Manchester United’s Paul Pogba continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Following his side’s 4-0 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford, the midfielder said there was ‘still a question mark’ over his future.
Two days ago, Mundo Deportivo reported Los Blancos leaders believe it wasn’t worth meeting the Red Devils’ demands for the France international.
Paul’s brother Mathias Pogba, who joined Spanish side Ciudad Real, believes Florentino Perez can bring the World Cup winner to Madrid.
“Florentino [Perez] can bring my brother to Madrid. My brother isn’t worth €200m, but now the world of football is like that. Manchester [United] will ask for a lot of money, but he’s not worth €200m,” Mathias told El Chiringuito, as relayed by AS.
Mathias also revealed that he and Paul believes the former Juventus man is the missing piece in Zinedine Zidane’s new project at Real Madrid.
“Which player is missing for Zidane? My brother, of course. My brother and I think he needs one more midfielder,” he explained.
During the first half of last season, Paul fellout with Jose Mourinho at United and the latter was sacked in December 2018. The Portuguese tactician is still without a managerial job and Mathias had some harsh words against the former Chelsea boss.
“Mourinho is not a winner. Who is Mourinho? A player does not always have to support his coach. You support him if he is with you. The whole team was separated from him,” Mathias said.
“I respect what he won, but now he is not a good example. Klopp, Zidane and Pep are the three examples.”
