Saint-Étienne’s Arnaud Nordin spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Nancy and since returning to his parent club in the summer of 2018, he’s made 20 starts in the league.
Despite not being a regular in the starting lineup, the forward has featured regularly as he has 17 appearances to his name this term. Le10 Sport now claims the 21-year-old ‘begins to arouse interest’ from France and elsewhere.
The report’s headline reads: ‘These clubs are very interested in Nordin’ and Brighton & Hove Albion get a mention.
Apart from the Seagulls, FSV Mainz and Strasbourg are looking at the Paris-born attacker. The latter remain very attentive to his situation with Saint-Étienne.
According to the report, Brighton and two other clubs could push for the player’s transfer ‘in the coming months’.
Nordin signed an extension last March and his contract with Saint-Étienne expires in 2022. He has been used as a left and right winger, while Claude Puel has fielded him as a centre forward on two occasions this season.
It remains to be seen if Graham Potter’s side will convert their interest into an offer for Nordin in the summer.
