Two days ago, we covered a report from L’Equipe mentioning Amiens’ Moussa Konate being linked to Leeds United and Brentford.
French outlet Le10 Sport today claims Brighton have approached the Ligue 1 outfit for the transfer of the 25-year-old and it should be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement today.
The transfer window in England closes today and there is a ‘concrete possibility’ the Senegalese international can still leave the French club. The Seagulls have been in discussion with them regarding the attacker for a few days.
Le10 Sport also reports that Brighton are not the only English club interested in Konate and talks about West Ham United also being in the mix for the African forward.
It is unlikely the Hammers will make an approach for Amiens’ player, especially after completing Lucas Perez’s signing from Arsenal.
Saint-Étienne are also in the race for Konate’s signature and if he fails to complete a switch to England, he could join anther French club, provided they meet Amiens’ requirements to complete the transfer.
