Gremio attacker Luan has been attracting interest over the past few weeks from major clubs in Europe, which are said to include Liverpool and Arsenal.
According to the Brazilian media, Sampdoria have tabled two offers for Luan, but both were rejected. This led to claims in Russia Luan is close to a move to Spartak, after the Moscow club made a bid for the Brazil international.
It was reported the Russian champions would pay €22m for Luan, and his agent confirmed that the deal would be completed after he passes his medical. The Russian media said Luan’s was expected to be finalised by the end of this week, but his transfer has stalled.
Sport Express have reported Luan’s move to Spartak has stalled due to a disagreement in talks between Gremio and Spartak. The newspaper also adds Luan wants to consider any offers from Liverpool and Arsenal, who are also expected to enter the fight to sign the 24 year old.
Of the two Premier League clubs, Liverpool are the ones who’ve been strongly linked with Luan in recent weeks. Claims in the English media claimed the Merseyside club wanted to sign the player, but this was played down in Brazil.
Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with Luan following claims today they are ready to fight Liverpool for the attacker.
