Philippe Coutinho’s arrival at Liverpool from Inter Milan in 2013, in a £8.5m deal, has proved to be a bargain, but the Brazilian has found a way to help his old side.
Inter recently, surprised many when they completed a deal for highly rated Brazilian youngster Gabriel Barbosa, widely known in Brazil as Gabigol.
Barbosa arrived from Santos in a €30m deal, and was officially unveiled yesterday at the Serie A club. The 20-year-old revealed he has been seeking advice from the Liverpool star over his move to Inter.
“I talked a lot about the club with Coutinho. I can play in any way, it depends on the coach and I want to contribute and help the team, I look forward to my debut,” Barbosa told the Italian media (via TMW).
Barbosa and Coutinho are both a crucial part of the future of the Brazilian national team setup, and it’s not really surprising to see the former Santos star looking for some advice from Coutinho.
