It’s now time for the Brazilian press to claim Barcelona are about to offer £138m for Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
UOL mentions that the Daily Mail and Sky Sports have both posted the information earlier, but their sources have also confirmed the amount of the offer.
The offer is reportedly divided between a £101m payment upfront and another £37m in performance bonuses.
As reported by the website earlier, it’s still claimed the bid should be made in the next few days and a decision from the Merseyside club is expected before the weekend.
The offer is considered to be Barcelona’s final blow to try and get the Brazilian. The club is under pressure to replace Neymar, who has just joined Paris Saint Germain for a world record fee.
Philippe Coutinho is still to play for Liverpool this season due to his back pain. Also known as transferus requestis.
