With very little progress in finding an adequate replacement for/improvement on Victor Moses at Stamford Bridge, the Italian reports sending Antonio Candreva to Chelsea refuse to go away.

While nothing has actually happened other than the fact that Antonio Conte is a big fan of the player from his time in Italy and as national team manager, the local media seem convinced a move could still happen.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter could take advantage of all the big European clubs being in Monaco for the Champions League and Europa League draws over the next couple of days to get some transfer business done before the window closes.

While the Serie A side aren’t in any European competition of their own, Walter Sabatini and Piero Ausilio could very well travel to the principality, and the Italian newspaper use this as a basis that the Candreva chapter could be closed soon.

This suggests the club are open to a sale, and with Chelsea clearly in need of some more depth, there’s still plenty of time to get something done.

Expect a lot of stories next week originating from this big European club reunion.
