After reports from Spain and Italy, it’s time for the Brazilian media to confirm that Chelsea are very close to signing the Real Madrid right-back Danilo.

Reliable website UOL claims the transfer should be made soon, as the clubs are on the verge of reaching an agreement.

Journalist Dassler Marques says the move should be done for €31m. Real Madrid’s first demand was of €40m, and they are still trying to push for a few million more, but they’re already admitting they will end up close to what Chelsea are offering.

Danilo’s personal terms with Chelsea are said to be ‘well forwarded’. His representatives are taking care of it with the club while the player has travelled to Los Angeles with the Real Madrid squad for the preseason tour.

It’s claimed that Danilo was even considering staying with Real Madrid, but the chance to play in the Premier League, especially for current champions Chelsea, could not be ignored.
