There are now strong rumours both in Italy and in Brazil saying Arsenal are going for the Bordeaux forward Malcom to replace Alexis Sanchez at the club.

This morning, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claimed the Gunners have a meeting with the player’s representatives on Wednesday.

Arsenal would try to find a deal with the agents today, even though the purchase would depend on Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester City, no matter if now in January or in the summer.

Goal’s Brazilian blog Ora Bolas, from journalist Bruno Andrade, has slightly different but still positive, information for Arsenal fans. He agrees that there will be a decisive meeting for the Gunners to close the deal, but it should happen between Thursday and Sunday.

Arsenal would be afraid of losing Malcom to English competition, and that’s why they are trying to find an agreement.

Both reports claim that Malcom should cost around €50m.
