Making a huge name for himself for his precocious displays at Celtic, Karamoko Dembélé’s career hasn’t quite hit the heights many expected them to just yet.

Still only 20, the forward has since left Scotland and has been at Brest in France, where he has managed to catch the attention of Blackburn Rovers.

This comes courtesy of L’Equipe in France, who report that the Championship side have ‘taken information’ about a possible transfer with the Ligue 1 side.

His exit from Celtic last year came on a free transfer, and while the 20-year-old barely played with the French club, he still appears to be a target for Blackburn.

He is ‘followed closely’ by the English side, but they have yet to make an offer for him.

Brest’s plans for the youngster to take his time to adapt with his new club after a season spent nursing an injury at Celtic, and while he isn’t on their transfer list, L’Equipe add that they wouldn’t ‘be against’ a transfer for the young forward.

The Blackburn target has a contract with his current club until 2026, meaning they would require a transfer fee from the Championship club.
