After featuring in nine international matches for Nigeria in the last couple of years, Trabzonspor midfielder Ogenyi Onazi could finally get a move to England, report Sporx.
The 24-year old midfielder was a target for Birmingham City last summer, but despite the two clubs agreeing on a fee, the move never happened because Onazi couldn’t get a work permit.
Sporx say after his latest international appearance the player can now be granted a work permit, which could open the door for a move.
Onazi was reportedly upset his dream move to England collapsed in the summer, but the January transfer window might give him another opportunity.
It’s currently unknown whether Birmingham City will renew their interest for Onazi, as it was former manager Harry Reddknapp who wanted to bring him to St Andrews.
During the last window we covered reports that Trabzonspor were to inform the Turkish stock market about the details of the player’s transfer to Birmingham City.
At the time it was reported Birmingham City had an agreement to sign Onazi before his work permit complications.
