BeinSportsTR report Trabzonspor have agreed to sell Ogenyi Onazi to Birmingham City.

It’s also been reported by Milliyet, and Trabzonspor will shortly inform the Turkish stock market about the details of the transfer. It’s believed the 24 year old Nigerian international will cost Birmingham City €4.5m.

Trabzonspor signed Onazi from Lazio last season for a reported fee of €3.5m, but the Nigerian wants to leave because of financial issues between him and the Turkish club.

After the signing of Juraj Kucka, Onazi’s position in the first team is under threat and Trabzonspor are willing to offload him to Birmingham City.

Harry Redknapp will be looking to strengthen his squad before the window closes, and its seems Onazi will be arriving in England.

The Nigerian midfielder has also been linked with a move to Crystal Palace, but it seems Birmingham City have won the race for the player.

Developments on this transfer will be expected on Thursday, as the Turkish club are obliged to inform the stock market of such a decision.
