Back in mid-June, we covered an article from Turkey stating that Nicolas Pépé had been offered around, and Fenerbahçe had taken note.

This came after the Ivory Coast international returned from his failed loan at OGC Nice, and with Mikel Arteta having no plans for him at the Emirates, a solution needs to be found.

A drastic one would be for his contract to be terminated a year early, which is something Besiktas might be banking on, as they look to sign him, according to TRT Spor.

Multiple sources appear to have some sort of information on the matter, but we’ll start with the one we just mentioned, who simply state that the Turkish side ‘want to add’ the winger to their squad this summer.

This was picked up by CNN Turk, first relaying TRT Spor, before adding information of their own that Pépé is ‘preparing to terminate his contract’ with Arsenal.

Then we have Fotomac, who do back up the claims that Besiktas want the forward, and then report that the Süper Lig side have ‘started transfer negotiations’ with the player.

They also explain that the former Lille star is ‘also willing to leave the club’ and ready to terminate his contract.
