Two days ago, Tuttosport reported West Ham United are about to burst onto the scene to sign Juventus’ Matias Soulè. The Premier League side will have to battle it out with AS Roma for his signature.
The winger was on loan at Frosinone last season, and the Turin club want to cash in from his sale this summer.
Calciomercato cover the latest on West Ham and Roma interest in the 21-year-old.
Roma have made a bid of €28m including bonuses, which is still short of the €30m plus €5m bonuses requested by the Old Lady. It’s claimed Julen Lopetegui’s side are ready to match Juve’s demand.
The Turin club have issued a ‘threat’ to the Argentina U21 international that if he refuses to move to the Premier League, they will include him in their Next Gen [Juve U23] squad. This may please West Ham, but the South American has other plans.
Calciomercato say Soulè wants to join the Giallorossi and will only change his stance if an English club of a ‘higher level’ than West Ham or Leicester City were to make an approach for him.
Both Juve and Soulè are standing firm with their respective positions, and it remains to be seen who will be the first to give up.
