After agreeing to sell Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea this week, Serie A side Napoli now start their hunt for a replacement. And it seems a couple of targets they have are from Manchester United.
On RAI (via Calcio Napoli 24), journalist Ciro Venerato claims there’s a new name on the Italian club’s list, Victor Lindelof.
The story points out the reporter ‘probed the agents’ of the Swedish player and got a piece of information regarding this chase. The 27-year-old is said to be wanted by manager Luciano Spalletti, and the price for the transfer would be something close to €22m.
The other Manchester United player being considered by Napoli is said to be Eric Bailly. He had already been a target before, just like Paris Saint Germain’s Abdou Diallo, so the big news here is really about Victor Lindelof becoming the new target.
With the Red Devils about to complete the signing of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax, it seems very plausible that one of their centre-backs could be sold this summer.
Bailly had been expected to be that man, but if an offer arrives for Lindelof first then the situation could change.
