Club after club after club. So many teams have been linked with Ayoze Perez that it feels like someone is hawking him around Europe, trying to finally find a sporting director who will bite and reach a deal with Newcastle United.
The forward has never made a secret of his desire to move to a La Liga side and he’s been linked with around half of them, which is no exaggeration.
The problem is that whilst there’s interested club after interested club, none of them seem to want to do anything serious about it.
Atletico Madrid are mentioned by Libertad this week. The club are said to have a ‘simple interest’ in the Newcastle player, but there’s been no talks towards getting a deal done.
They just have an interest, and that’s about it. At this stage it would appear they have no intention of doing anything about it.
On Monday, Cope Radio claimed Valencia are interested. The club will be letting players go this summer, and once they’ve done that, and raised some funds, they can move more seriously for signings.
It was reported Valencia have already contacted the player’s agent, to find out the conditions of a Newcastle exit this summer. Perez has been made aware, and it’s claimed he’s told his closest friends he’s ‘delighted with the possibility’ of a move to Los Ches.
He’ll have to hope they progress with their efforts.
