Despite reports that everything was agreed between Sevilla, Aston Villa and Jordan Amavi for the Frenchman’s transfer to Spain, no official announcement has been made yet.
El Desmarque were the ones reporting it was all but done, yet Estadio Deportivo on Wednesday explain that while that’s mostly the case, there are still a few things to sort out, notably the final ‘yes’ from the Villains.
Sevilla’s offer, which comes close (with bonuses) to Aston Villa’s €10m valuation of their young left-back, has yet to be fully accepted, and Amavi, who has already started preseason with Steve Bruce’s side in Portugal, is simply waiting for the green light to complete his move to La Liga after a year in the Championship.
Ideally, Sevilla would want to have the deal done by the 13th of July, as that’s when they leave for their preseason tour to Japan, meaning negotiations need to be sped up a bit.
That’s still over a week away, though, so there’s still a bit of time.
