Toulouse have struggled in the league this season as the Ligue 1 side are sitting at the bottom of the table after managing only three wins in 20 matches.
Baptiste Reynet has started in each and every fixture, and in the process conceded 44 goals and kept only two clean sheets. Due to his irregular performances, the French club has decided to bring in a new goalkeeper in the winter market.
According to L’Equipe, Toulouse have identified two targets, but Aston Villa’s Lovre Kalinić remains the first-choice option. The Croatian, who arrived at Villa Park from Gent in January 2019, has not made a single appearance for Dean Smith’s side this season.
It’s claimed Toulouse president Olivier Sadran has told those close to him that he’s confident a deal can be done.
Sadran has agreed the outline terms of a loan deal with the Premier League side and personal terms with Kalinić.
L’Equipe claims a goalkeeper will arrive at Toulouse soon, ‘most likely in the next few hours’, and the Croatian is presented as the probable recruit.
