Aston Villa winger Trezeguet is keen on a move to Besiktas, according to a claim in the Turkish media.

The player has been linked with a return to the Super Lig in recent weeks.

Takvim today report the Egyptian attacker will consider his options at the end of the season and if Villa don’t maintain their Premier League status then he would be keen to join Besiktas on a loan deal.

Trezeguet is no stranger to Turkish football after he spent two seasons with Kasimpasa before moving to Aston Villa last summer for €11m. When playing for Kasimpasa the 25 year old was constantly linked with a move to Turkey’s biggest clubs, including Besiktas.

The Turkish side’s manager Sergen Yalcin is keen to strengthen his squad to challenge for the league title next season, and Trezeguet could be a decent addition for them.

He’s made 31 appearances for Dean Smith’s side this season and scored four goals. His contract at Villa Park will expire at the end of June 2023.
