On April 30th, Tuttosport reported Aston Villa were one of the clubs to send their scouts to closely follow Frosinone star Matias Soulé, who’s on loan from Juventus.
Aston Villa could consider signing the 21-year-old in the summer window, if a report from TuttoMercatoWeb is to be believed.
Operating mainly on the right wing, he’s scored 11 goals and registered three assists from 35 games this season. Unai Emery has Nicolò Zaniolo as one of the options in that position at Aston Villa.
The 24-year-old Italian joined the Villans on loan from Galatasaray with a buying option. TMW state his performances haven’t convinced Aston Villa director Monchi and therefore he won’t be retained beyond this season.
Emery needs a replacement for the former AS Roma man and his side’s focus is on Soulé. It’s claimed the Premier League side have asked the Old Lady for information about him.
The Argentina youth international received offers from Saudi Arabia in January but he turned them down. His desire is to play for a top club and he would welcome a move to the Premier League.
TMW state Juve value Soulé at €30m and ‘will make money’ from his sale in the summer window. If Aston Villa were to match the Turin club’s request, the South American could replace Zaniolo at Villa Park next season.
