Dominik Szoboszlai’s performances for Red Bull Salzburg have drawn attention from top clubs across Europe.
Earlier this month, the 20-year-old’s agent confirmed Arsenal are interested in his client, whose contract with the Austrian side lasts until 2022.
On November 12th, local reports suggested the midfielder could be on the move soon since he has decided not to extend his apartment lease in Salzburg.
Szoboszlai is on the front page of today’s edition of AS as Real Madrid are now ‘after’ the Salzburg star, while Arsenal, RB Leipzig and AC Milan ‘want’ him.
Within the report, it’s claimed ‘Mikel Arteta likes him a lot’, and therefore, the north London club, along with AC Milan and RB Leipzig have ‘already asked’ about his situation.
The Hungarian scored in his side’s Champions League defeat to Atlético Madrid, and the main focus of the report is on Real Madrid’s interest and the La Liga winners ‘following’ his evolution.
His current market value is around €25m (via Transfermarkt) and this figure is ‘affordable’ for the La Liga winners.
The newspaper adds Red Bull Salzburg will not be able to demand more from Szoboszlai’s sale next summer because he will then have a year left with the club.
AS are of belief the Austrian side will ‘facilitate his sale’ after this season, and the chances of this happening will improve substantially if Szoboszlai decides against signing a new contract with Red Bull Salzburg.
With interest from several top European clubs, it’ll be interesting to see where Szoboszlai will play next season.
