Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Leandro Trossard in his transfer wish-list.
That’s according to Voetbal Belgie, who explain the north London club ‘want to attract’ the duo to the Emirates this summer.
Arsenal took Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht in 2021 and are now looking to add two more Belgium internationals to their squad.
Both the midfielder and the attacker have 12 months left on their deals with the Seagulls and Foxes. Tielemans has refused to renew his contract with Brendan Rodgers’ side as he is looking for a move away from Leicester.
Trossard has made it clear that he is willing to listen to offers, while he is content with his life at Brighton. The Gunners were keen on signing him before he joined Graham Potter’s side in 2019 and this was confirmed by his agent that year.
With Arteta including him in his wish-list for this summer, the report adds the Emirates move would be a ‘step up’ for Trossard.
Tielemans wants to play in the Champions League. That won’t be possible at Arsenal since they have to settle for the Europa League next season. Despite this, the report states the Leicester player would ‘still like to choose the Gunners’.
There is no mention of any figures that Arsenal could offer or what Leicester and Brighton would demand to let their players leave.
