There’s renewed hope on Wojciech Szczesny to Juventus in the Italian media, and even a feeling that it could all be completed over the next few days.

Juventus haven’t given up hope of having Szczesny for their preseason, and that would involve coming to an agreement with Arsenal very quickly.

The Premier League club have been asking for €15m, which doesn’t seem too unreasonable given some of the prices other players have gone for this summer, however, Juventus have only wanted to pay €8m.

Now Gazzetta say there are efforts to ‘close the gap’, which could mean ‘white smoke’ on the deal in the comings days.

The problem for Juve is that their latest effort at closing the gap only took them to €9m, which isn’t exactly meeting Arsenal halfway.

The potential transfer is expected to ‘enter into life’ quickly, but unless Juventus make a bigger effort to close that gap, Arsenal will likely stand firm on Szczesny.
