Tuesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo now claims that after the arrival of Kevin-Prince Boateng from Sassuolo, the La Liga winners are working quickly on the 25-year-old’s exit.
There is already a ‘full and economic agreement’ for the transfer of the Spaniard and the Premier League side and are expected to close the agreement ‘shortly’ as per Mundo’s sources from the Camp Nou.
The former Villarreal man will join the north London outfit on a loan transfer until the end of the season and it will cost them €2m. The two clubs are still negotiating the purchase option for the summer.
Ernesto Valverde’s side want to include a mandatory option to sign the player after his temporary deal expires, while the Gunners are not ready to buy him in January nor commit to paying after this campaign.
Barca are aware that Suarez wants to join Arsenal and if he continues at the club beyond this window, his value will depreciate, which is why all parties agreed they are doomed if the deal doesn’t go through.
For this reason, Barcelona are expected to complete Suarez’s transfer to Unai Emery’s side ‘shortly’.
