Last week, Mundo Deportivo reported the door to joining Arsenal is ‘more open’ for Philippe Coutinho because he’s received ‘technical endorsement’ from the club’s Edu Gaspar.

Prior to joining the Gunners’ management, Edu worked as Team Coordinator for Brazil’s national team and he knows the Barcelona owned player from his time with the Seleção.

The 28-year-old is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and will return to Camp Nou after the completion of this season’s Champions League.

Mundo Deportivo now state the former Liverpool star’s ‘goal’ is ‘clear’ and he wants return to the Premier League this summer. This has already been reported on several occasions in the Catalan media.

Mikel Arteta’s side are one of the suitors and they are the club who are showing ‘most interest’ in the playmaker.

However, Arsenal will face a ‘big problem’ in signing the South American, because they cannot take care of his salary.

For now, as per the report, Coutinho wants to focus on the Champions League fixtures with Bayern.

Therefore, the Brazilian has asked his representative to put any talks regarding his future on hold until he completes his loan spell with the Bundesliga winners.
