Fanatik report Mesut Ozil’s agent Erkut Söğüt will fly to Istanbul next week to meet Fenerbahce president Ali Koc with regards to a potential transfer.
It’s claimed Söğüt and Koc will discuss the latest developments regarding Ozil, with continuing doubts over his future at Arsenal.
The Turkish newspaper claim the Fenerbahce president wants to make fans happy after two chaotic seasons, in which they haven’t even finished in the top 5.
Subsequently he wants to bring in Ozil in order to restore his relationship with the club’s fans, and Fanatik report the meeting with Söğüt is very important as the parties could reach an agreement over a transfer.
The 31 year old has been on the fringes since the restart of the season and could look to leave the club after entering the final year of his Arsenal contract.
He has been linked with Fener in recent months, although recent claims said there are offers from the US, Qatar and Japan.
