The Italian media continue with their insistence that Thomas Partey could be the answer to Juventus’ current midfield problems.

Even before Paul Pogba was accused of a doping violation, the Arsenal player had been linked with the Turin club, so it was only natural that after that he’d be linked even more.

The Frenchman is unavailable to Juventus for the foreseeable future, with some even doubting whether he’ll ever play for the club again.

Given that, there’s the desire to bring in a replacement during the January transfer window, and all eyes are turning towards the Arsenal man.

Calciomercato claim Partey has ‘made it clear’ he’s unhappy with his current situation at Arsenal and isn’t keen on playing right back. They state he ‘intends to leave’ the Gunners ‘as early as January’.

Whether that is the whole truth remains to be seen, but the Italian media are insistent Partey would be keen on the move, and there’s a confidence Arsenal would be open to a deal.

Potential competition from Atletico Madrid, the midfielder’s former club, is mentioned, although it must be said there’s not much being made of that in the Spanish media.
