Want-away Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has handed in a transfer request, according to Spanish outlet cope.es.
The 28-year-old moved to the Emirates last summer in a deal worth £17m from Deportivo, but started just two league games in a frustrating debut season.
Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger has since strengthened his forward line with the acquisition of Alexandre Lacazette from Olympique Lyonnais, prompting Perez to see his future away from North London.
Cope report that Arsenal are looking to recoup the majority of the fee they paid for the striker, with £15m the asking price.
It is thought Perez is seeking a return to Deportivo, where he scored 17 goals in 37 league games in 2015/16 which included a run of seven goals in seven games.
But a return to Estadio Riazor may be hindered by Pepe Mel’s interest in Porto forward Adrián Lopez, who La Opinión Coruña report is on the verge of agreeing a deal with the La Liga side.
Perez has also been linked with a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce in recent weeks.
