Robert Lewandowski to Real Madrid is a story which is building quickly in the Spanish sport media.
It’s largely been kicked off by the Bayern Munich player swapping agents recently. Taking on Pini Zahavi, there’s been an assumption the striker has made the switch in order to get himself a big summer transfer.
So what does this have to do with Arsenal?
Mundo Deportivo report Zahavi has been in negotiations with a number of clubs who are keen to sign the Polish striker, and Arsenal are named as one of those.
On the face of it, Arsenal moving for Lewandowski sounds unlikely given they already have Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the club, but the Spanish newspaper clearly believes otherwise.
However, there’s not good news for Arsene Wenger and any Arsenal attempts to sign the Bayern superstar, because he’s got his heart set on a move to Real Madrid.
There’s an agreement in principle between the player and Spanish club, according to the claims, but Bayern Munich will obviously have a big say in any move.
