Hector Bellerín is set to drop his salary to €3.5m a year to help him secure a move from Arsenal to Real Betis before the end of the transfer window.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who pick up on the Spaniard’s potential move after reports in Spain today.

Both Diario de Sevilla and ABC Sevilla reported earlier today that Bellerín was keen to leave Arsenal in search of playing time, and Betis were working on getting him to the club.

They need to free up space in the squad and in their salary budget to make it happen; with it explained Bellerín had agreed to significantly cut his wages to help them out.

The figures of the deal weren’t mentioned but TMW offer that up now, stating that the full-back has accepted the same salary Inter Milan were offering him.

That would have seen him accept a deal worth €3.5m a year, and that is what he is willing to do again to move to Betis.

They want to bring him to Andalusia on loan and are ‘confident’ it will go through, but they need to secure another exit before they can finalise things with the Arsenal man.
