Arsenal have maintained contact with Shakhtar Donetsk after the negotiations for Mykhailo Mudryk, as they now eye a potential deal for Georgiy Sudakov.
That’s according to Tutto Juve, who cover the growing list of suitors for the central midfielder today and put Arsenal among them.
They explain that midfielder has been impressing of late, with a tally of two goals in nine games in the Ukrainians top flight and one goal in four games in the Champions League as well.
That has reportedly left him ‘in the sights’ of several top clubs, with Arsenal one of several keeping an eye on him.
He’s very much seen as Shakhtar’s ‘next valuable asset’ after the sale of Mudryk to Chelsea in the January transfer window.
There is ‘growing interest’ in a potential deal for the 21-year-old and because of this Arsenal are ‘keeping channels open’ with the Ukrainian side after their unsuccessful negotiations for Mudryk.
Whether that gives them an advantage over the likes of Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus or Manchester United, who are all also seemingly in the race, isn’t mentioned.
With channels open, though, it’s perhaps something to keep an eye on if the Gunners do decide to strengthen in the January transfer window this season.
