Arsenal are reportedly one of the big sharks who are following AS Monaco winger Kylian Mbappé.
According to Calcio Mercato, the Gunners currently have the competition of Juventus and Paris Saint German for the signing of the 17-year-old.
Mbappé was one of the main figures of France’s U19 championship squad this year, where he scored five goals in five games.
Calcio Mercato say that Monaco have no intention to sell him, and haven’t even considered a price tag for the approaches they have been receiving. The French club are also planning to extend his contract to protect him from this interest, as his current deal expires in 2019.
The youngster has had an impressive 16 appearances for the first team so far, and has made one assist and scored one goal.
Although Transfermarkt value him at only €1.5m, we all know how much one of these wonderkids can be sold for these days, especially with European giants watching him game after game.
Monaco would probably be looking at an Anthony Martial type deal if they do sell. That’s not to say they’d demand similar figures, but would like the security of a good transfer fee now and the possibility of that rising significantly should the player fulfil his potential.
