Already a reported target for Manchester United, William Saliba has now attracted even more attention from England, with Arsenal supposedly after the youngster.
Aged just 18, the Saint-Etienne centre-back, who is also capable of playing at right-back, has become a target for the Gunners, who plan on ‘rejuvenating’ their squad this summer.
This comes from Goal, who explain Arsenal scouts have been ‘impressed’ by Saliba’s maturity at such a young age, watching him in his side’s 3-0 win over Nice.
By recently extending his stay in France by signing a four-year contract, the centre-back seemed to suggest he would at least stay around next season.
However, Arsenal ‘shouldn’t be put off’ by the renewal, seemingly still intent on trying to sign Saliba in the summer.
How much he will cost remains a mystery, but previous reports suggested €30m should do the trick, as Saint-Etienne know there will be a limit to what they can ask for.
