Returning home early from the World Cup after Senegal failed to make it out of the group stages, M’Baye Niang’s performances in Russia didn’t go unnoticed, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

Currently at Torino in Serie A, the former Watford loanee has allegedly caught the eye of a handful of clubs around Europe, including Arsenal.

The Italian website claim the Gunners, Borussia Dortmund and OGC Nice in France have all enquired about the Senegalese forward, who can either play on the wing or through the middle of the attack.

Having lost Alassane Pléa, and with Mario Balotelli said to be close to a deal with Marseille, the need for a new forward in the south of France is somewhat desperate, which is why Niang makes sense.

As for Arsenal and Dortmund, the interest seems a bit strange, although with new managers at both clubs, their style of football on offer could allow the former Caen starlet to shine more than he has done previously in his career.

However, no offers have arrived on Torino’s desk as of yet, meaning there’s not much to get excited about here.

Just clubs asking around, which happens all the time.
