French newspaper L’Equipe reported in their Wednesday edition that Mathieu Debuchy could be leaving Arsenal on loan again. Debuchy signed for Bordeaux in the January transfer window, with the hope he could prove his fitness and form and make France’s Euro 2016 squad.
Unfortunately for Debuchy his time at Bordeaux was hit by injury, but L’Equipe believed there was the chance of another loan, this time with Spanish club Espanyol. Always on the lookout for bargain recruitment, Espanyol were said to have already contacted Arsenal about a deal.
However, Le10 Sport now report the deal is dead. Arsene Wenger has refused to allow the defender to leave because he feels the squad needs him. That sounds pretty conclusive, but Le10 say discussions are ongoing to try and find a solution for Debuchy.
