Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has joined Turkish Super League side Alanyaspor on a one-year loan deal, according to Fanatik. With the competition for places at Chelsea the youngster has been sent to Turkey to get first team experience

The 22-year old spent last season at fellow Turkish club Kasımpaşa, where he played 25 Super League games.

Omeruo impressed Alanyaspor with his performances for Kasımpaşa last season, and there was a genuine feeling that he would have joined Turkish giants Besiktas.

However, despite Besiktas’ talks with Chelsea, the Black Eagles went back on their agreement with the Premier League side, and instead signed Atınc Nukan from RB Leipzig.

Alanyaspor have been busy in this transfer window, and have already signed former CSKA Moscow striker Vagner Love and Porto’s Abdulaye Ba. Omeruo arrived in Antalya this morning and had his medical. The Nigerian international also had loan spell at Middlesbrough before he came to Turkey.
