Watford allowed Jaime Alvarado to go out on another loan on deadline day of the summer window.

The Hornets took the 22-year-old from Udinese in 2016 and after letting him spend one year in their academy, they sent him out on temporary deals to Spain before loaning him out to Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense last season.

Alvarado was then back in Spain again, when he joined third division side Racing de Ferrol in August. He is ‘an unknown’ there, reports today’s edition of La Voz de Galicia.

It’s claimed the midfielder ‘has been a mystery’ since he arrived at the club. He suffered a knee injury and after regaining full fitness, the Colombian had a muscle tear. The newspaper states it was ‘difficult for him to overcome’ the second injury.

The Watford owned man has recovered and is back in contention for selection. However, his coach, Cristóbal Parralom, has not included the player in his plans.

Alvarado has not been able to feature once for Racing de Ferrol, so the report states ‘it would not be strange’ if Watford decide to recall him in January and then send him on loan elsewhere in the same window.

La Voz de Galicia also suggest the possibility of Alvarado wanting to move elsewhere must not be ruled out.
