Southampton’s Samuel Edozie is set to join Anderlecht, according to a report from Belgium.

The winger has made two appearances in the Premier League this season. Despite this, the Saints have decided to let him go out on a loan deal.

That’s according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide an important update.

He claims the Jupiler Pro League side have ‘found [an] agreement’ with Southampton to sign the 21-year-old on a loan deal with an option to buy.

The Englishman’s deal lasts until 2027, and Tavolieri hasn’t mentioned the fee needed for Anderlecht to make his stay permanent. The transfer window in Belgium closes on Friday, meaning Anderlecht will have enough time to close the deal.

The window in Belgium and other countries closing later has proven to be a transfer advantage for the leagues involved, with clubs able to pursue deals with less of the competition than they would otherwise have faced.
