Philippe Coutinho continues to be a problem for Barcelona, with the club looking to get rid of the Brazilian in the January window.
Arsenal are one of the clubs who have been linked in recent weeks, and it’s thought agent connections could help a deal go through.
Catalan newspaper Sport has a couple of Coutinho articles in their Monday edition. One explains what a waste of money the player has been, with it stated his signing was like throwing cash into the ‘toilet of nonsense’.
Elsewhere, it’s explained there’s optimism a new home can be found, with Arsenal one of the possible destinations.
The Gunners have asked about the conditions of a deal, and the player’s agents are ‘travelling to England’, hoping a firm loan offer can arrive from a Premier League club.
Arsenal, or any other interested club, would only have to pay part of Coutinho’s wages, with Barcelona picking up the rest. That presents an interesting opportunity for a club to gamble and see if the 29-year-old can get back to his best.
