Weston McKennie’s agents are testing the waters with Premier League clubs this summer, despite the Juventus midfielder flopping while on loan at Leeds United.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say Juventus could decide to put the American on the market this summer and his agents are testing the Premier League out as a result.
The newspaper explains that with a year left on his deal, it’s a case of stick or twist with McKennie for Juventus in the coming weeks.
The growing idea is to sell him and help raise cash and if that is the path chosen then a sale to the Premier League would be attractive.
His agents are working on that front, as well as in the Bundesliga, seemingly oblivious to the impressions McKennie left in England the last time he was there with Leeds.
He joined them on loan from Juventus in January last year but proved to be a flop at Elland Road, making little impact as Leeds were eventually relegated to the Championship.
It seems that’s been quickly forgotten, though, and his agents are now trying to drum up interest ahead of the summer and ‘testing the waters’ to see if they can secure a sale that suits everyone.
