Arsenal striker Lucas Perez isn’t going anywhere, his agent says.
It’s been only a few months since the Spaniard arrived in London, but rumours from the Italian press were already linking the player to a move.
With only six appearances for the club this season, Perez has been struggling to get minutes, especially after an ankle injury which left him out of Arsenal’s last four matches.
Italian website Calcio Mercato have managed an interview with Perez’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez Llovelle, who tried to make the player’s situation more clear.
Asked if Perez could be leaving in January due to his lack of game time, Llovelle said: “He doesn’t play because he’s injured. He has no plans to leave, Arsenal and Wenger are very happy with him.”
The agent was also questioned about how could the player be happy if he’s Arsenal’s third option, being placed in line behind Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez: “He was playing and injured his ankle. He’s out for more than a month.”
Calcio Mercato weren’t giving up that easily and asked if a loan is still possible, but the agent still had a clear response: “He now only thinks of Arsenal.”
