Bruma to Tottenham claims continue in Turkey

According to AmkSpor, Fanatik and AksamSpor, Bruma’s days at Galatasaray are numbered. Tottenham have emerged as a favourite destination and a serious contender to land the 22-year old Portuguese winger.

Bruma completed the full 90 minutes as his side Galatasaray lost the Kıtalararası Derbi to their fierce rivals Fenerbahçe. Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is apparently a big fan of Bruma and the club’s scouts were in attendance.

It’s claimed management company Mondial Sports is currently assisting Tottenham regarding Bruma, and that they also had a representative in Istanbul.

Pochettino is apparently keen to pay €26M for Bruma’s services, with talks expected to proceed soon. Bruma is currently stalling on contract talks with Galatasaray, which is a good sign that he is expected to move away from the Turkish club.

Galatasaray are under heavy financial pressure and this even led them to banned from European competition this season. Therefore, selling Bruma for this kind of money would be good business for the club.

Bruma is the focal point of Galatasaray’s attack this season ahead of the likes of Wesley Sneijder and Lukas Podolski. The Portuguese winger is currently the leader of ‘Take-ons completed’ both in the Turkish league and across Europe.

Tottenham’s links with Bruma has been building over the past week or so, with claims from Turkey helping to drive things.

Sport Witness spoke to Bruma’s agent Cátio Baldé last week, and he dismissed any contact having already bee initiated: “There was no contact, no. Today, there’s speculation. With us, directly, a meeting, or a call, an approach, there was nothing. I don’t know if there was this with the club.

“Now that there are movements, there are movements. But I can’t confirm that we, on our part, have received some approach, because we haven’t received one yet. I’m being honest.

“There are English and German clubs who follow Bruma weekly. What’s happened is that there hasn’t been an advance until now. Anything can happen in December. He wants to play in the Premier League and he’s sure he’ll be bought.”
