The agent of Watford forward Stefano Okaka has told the Italian media he’ll sit down with the Premier League side to discuss his client’s future, and that Everton have made an approach for the player.
Speaking to TMW, Carlo Okaka was asked about approaches from Sevilla and Everton for the Watford player: “It’s not just them, but I’d rather not mention the name, there will be a meeting with the club, everything is derived from Silva’s technical choices.”
Okaka hasn’t started a game for Watford since the opening day of the season, and the Italy international has been left out of Marco Silva’s match day squads in recent weeks.
The player’s last involvement came against Everton last month, when the 28 year old came off the bench in the last minute.
It seems Okaka may need to leave Watford in the new year for a club that can give him more playing time, and with Everton’s lack of cover in attack he could still be an option for the Merseyside club.
Everton are likely to be in the market for a centre forward in the next window, and Okaka could be a stop gap for the Toffees until the end of the season.
