Sporx report Oguzhan Ozyakup’s agent Kees Vos was in Istanbul last week and met with Besiktas board members Umut Guner and Safak Mahmutyazicioglu about the future of his client.
The Besiktas captain has yet to pen a new deal with the club and there have been recent reports in the Turkish press linking him with a move to the Premier League with Everton.
Sporx claim the 24 year old’s future will be much clearer in the coming weeks, but given the Turkish side are in a crucial stage of their season this might not be possible.
Vos has reportedly told Besiktas’ board: “I can confirm that Marseille, Everton, AC Milan, Lazio and Valencia are all showing an interest for Oguzhan. We also have offers inside the Turkish Super Lig but he wants to agree with you first. So please decide what you are going to do in the next couple of weeks, and we’ll act accordingly.”
Everton have been linked with Ozyakup in recent months, and this week claims re-surfaced the Toffees are still interested in the Turkey international.
The player will be out of contract in the summer, giving Everton the chance to snap him up on a free transfer.
Ozyakup is reportedly keen for a return to England after coming through the Arsenal academy, and Everton could give him the opportunity to team up with his former Besiktas teammate Cenk Tosun.
