La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly signing Brazilian wonderkid Rodrigo in the next few days.
According to outlet Globo Esporte on Wednesday, the Galacticos are paying R$18m (€4.2m) to buy the player from Novo Horizontino.
Rodrigo has already traveled to Spain this weekend, and his visit to Santiago Bernabeu is no secret, as he’s been posting pictures of it on his Instagram account.
Globo Esporte claims that the player is now set for medicals and will be signing a five-year contract with the Spanish side.
Rodrigo belongs to Novo Horizontino, a former non league side which are now qualified to play the fourth division in Brazil this year.
The website claims that he caught Real Madrid’s attention when playing the U-17 World Cup of Clubs, representing Palmeiras during a loan spell. That tournament was played near the Spanish capital, and the striker scored five goals in five games.
Just in case you got confused with the latest transfer rumours, we’re talking about Rodrigo here, not Rodrygo, the 17-year-old from Santos who’s been linked to Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
