Takvim claim Fenerbahce will target Manchester United defender Ashley Young in the next transfer window

It’s been reported the Turkish club are in talks with Young’s agent and they believe they can sign the Manchester United player on the cheap.

The Turkish newspaper say the Fenerbahce board are hoping they can land Young for a fee in the region of €3m.

Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman is also reported to be excited about the possibility of the England international arriving in Istanbul, and has given the green light on the move.

However, it’s unlikely Jose Mourinho would sanction such a move as Young has become a valuable member of his squad this season.

The former Aston Villa player has made the left back position his own in this campaign and his performances have forced him back into the national team.

Young is contracted to Manchester United until June 2019, and has played 27 Premier League games this season, scoring 3 goals.

The Turkish media have a habit of doing this. Thinking players would be available who probably aren’t, and at prices which are likely too low.
