For Spain’s wilder transfer rumour media, there simply has to be constant stream of rumours about who Real Madrid could buy.
It has to be daily and that means there also has to be claims about who could be leaving the club. Toni Kroos is the recent prime candidate, with a string of articles from various sources talking up the possibility of a move this summer.
Of course, Don Balon are one of those doing it, and like others have convinced themselves Manchester United is the likeliest option.
In an article linking Marseille’s 20 year old Maxime Lopez with Real Madrid, Kroos is the fall-guy again.
It’s claimed Zinedine Zidane is aware Kroos is ‘very seriously considering’ moving to Manchester United, who have put a ‘succulent proposal on the table’.
Lopez would be the ‘perfect’ replacement, just like all the other ones who have been lined up in recent months.
Kroos to Manchester United is a long held transfer rumour, and will likely continue to get attention ahead of the summer. Jose Mourinho has made it clear he’ll be looking to sign midfielders, and there’s not many better than the German international.
