France Football have today reported former Fiorentina and Valencia midfielder Tino Costa could be a target for French clubs this summer. The Argentine has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest in the past week, and also a move to Argentina with San Lorenzo.
Costa has spent a big chunk of his career playing in France with a number of clubs. Costa made his senior debut for RCF Paris in 2004, and now it is seen as possibility he may head back to France.
Costa is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Spartak Moscow, and following his success with Montpellier it has opened up the opportunity for French sides to come in for the 31-year-old this summer.
Last weekend we covered reports from Italy that Nottingham Forest have tabled a bid to sign the Argentine as they look to strengthen their squad in this transfer window, but face competition from San Lorenzo.
It’s been claimed Costa has an agreement with San Lorenzo, but Nottingham Forest are hoping the financial package offered to the midfielder could persuade him to turn down a move back to his home country.
